My work has been influenced by teachers with a background in Structural Integration (Rolfing, Hellerwork) and neuromuscular techniques from physical therapy and osteopathy. Recent studies in the Trager Approach, Rosen Method and Qigong complement my practice and reflect my interest in bodywork as a tool for self-awareness and personal growth.

I also have a keen interest in injury assessment and client education – understanding the dynamics and underlying causes of pain patterns enables clients to take an active role in their healing, maintain positive results and prevent further injury.

I studied photography as an undergraduate and worked for many years in Seattle’s maritime industry, which included world travel and experience living in diverse communities.

Client Testimonial

“My back has sustained years of injury and neglect, and been the source of a great deal of discomfort and sleep loss. Mary Ann eliminated all of my back pain in a few treatments. A client has to live this to believe the results.”

“Since I have been seeing Mary Ann once a month I have way fewer headaches, my sleep has improved, and I enjoy my job more.”

“Thanks for the wonderful, relaxing, perfect massage. I slept that night the best I have in a long time.”
