My focus since being licensed in 2006 has been deep tissue and injury treatment massage, as well as sports, pregnancy, hot stone and Swedish massage. I enjoy the healing arts and emphasize attention to your overall well-being. My years of personal study and experience in this field have filled my tool box! When you come to me for a massage, my first question is “What is your need for this treatment?” As you describe where the pain is located and how it feels, I tune in and sense how this would register in my body, were I experiencing it myself. I ask further questions – about your occupation, how you exercise and what you think may have caused the problem area – to clarify where to begin. My goal in giving you a massage is to release blockage and to increase flow within your muscle tissue. I do this by using a combination of techniques. Stretching your muscles is always a part of my approach, as is finding deeper tension and assisting it to dissipate. My study of energy work also factors into the massage…and, it seems to naturally assist the therapeutic result. My own car and skiing accidents gave me first-hand experience with many modalities of healing. These experiences not only convinced me of the effectiveness of bodywork and motivated me to acquire the skills to help others, but also add a quality of empathy to my touch.

Client Testimonial
“I am a doc, so hard to work on because I have a diagnosis for myself. Cheryl is a great diagnosis expert and adjusts my understanding, as well as providing outstanding care. She listens extraordinarily well, as she teaches.”
