Thai Massage involves stretching, deep tissue manipulation and work with lines of energy known as Sen lines. It is usually performed on the floor with the client wearing comfortable clothes that allow for movement. The client may be positioned in a variety of yoga-like positions, but deep static and rhythmic pressure form the core of the massage. Compression style pressure and stroking motions move blood, aiding normal circulation, and realign knotted muscles for improved movement. Even though the client is being passively moved quite a bit, Thai Massage is deeply relaxing. At present, Erin Hardy is our only Thai Massage practitioner.
